School Policies

  • If you need help with a class, lesson, or other product or service you can reach us by email:

    info@harmony-themusicschool.com

  • All lessons must be paid for in full and before classes begin.

To book your space at the school, we offer a first-come, first-served payment system. Your requested time slot will be reserved once registration payment is completed.

All payments for lessons, group and private, must be made before the term begins.

  • For Private Lessons: If a student needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson (for whatever reason) they must do so by providing us with at least 24 hours notice in writing. Only two sessions per term may be carried forward in certain circumstances.

Any cancellations without 24 hours notice will result in the student forfeiting the lesson.

A lesson may be rescheduled based on the availability of the teachers and students.

Rescheduled/make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled a second time.

Students who cancel their regular weekly time slot often /miss three lessons in a row will lose their time slot and need to check with the office for a new time slot to resume lessons.

Lessons canceled by a teacher will be rescheduled at the earliest available convenience.

  • We have a strict no-refunds policy. Once a payment has been received, the student must commit to taking the lesson(s) they have purchased.

No remaining amount will be carried forward or refunded if a student stops classes midway or after starting.

  • As a general rule, students are encouraged to attend lessons on time. Tardiness in attendance is frowned upon.

Most lessons at Harmony are scheduled without a break in-between. Please arrive in time for your lesson as the time will not be carried forward inconveniencing the next student/s.

In rare occasions and at the instructor’s discretion, timing may be slightly flexible.

  • Many of our instructors perform professionally and as such may be required to take time off for upcoming shows, recitals or concerts. In the event that this occurs, the instructor reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher or an alternate time for a lesson. Sufficient notice will always be given.

In the event that an instructor ceases teaching at Harmony, the remaining lessons, if any, will not be refunded but will be completed with an alternative instructor.
